Clear, eye catching and compelling marketing materials that speak to your perfect potential patients is a necessity in attracting the right clients/patients to your practice.
That being said, I want to address 10 tips to making it all work.
1. make sure it all matches
2. make sure your potential patients can see themselves in your marketing materials
3. make sure you do it all on quality materials
4. make sure all of your materials are jargon free
5. make sure that you DON’T talk about Acupuncture
6. don’t put your resume on them
7. make sure your online material and your offline material all match
8. make sure you have it with you at all times!
9. make sure you speak about what you do before you hand it over
10. ask people who else they know that might be interested and ask them if they would be willing to pass your material along to them.
Ok...so that’s about the basics...and I just wanted to make sure you knew all this and now we can turn our attention to brochures!
Stop using them!
Here is what I suggest instead...a 6 to 12 page pamphlet - the size of a folded 8 1/2 by 11 paper.
Use the number and verb formula that addresses the area of focus in your practice.
For example:
5 tips for women who are considering Invitro fertilization
5 tips for making your weight goals actually happen
10 ways to protect yourself from back pain
etc...
This pamphlet should be helpful and useful to your potential patients without requiring any investment from them.
It should include an introduction about why you have dedicated yourself to working with in your area of focus, then the content, and then a compelling bio with your picture and contact info on the back inside cover, and testimonials of satisfied clients/patients on the back cover with a quote from one on the front.
1. it follows the teaching of the the Tao Te Ching: “Wealth is the fruit of generosity”
2. it positions you as expert
3. it positions you as a resource
4. it leverages your marketing efforts
5. it’s a keeper and will not wind up in a circular file
6. it has the potential of being a book!
7. Yes - it is more expensive and will pay for itself in no time as long as you are good at getting it in peoples' hands!
Remember no brochures, do a pamphlet instead...
